01 What is plasma

02 The role of plasma

During the plasma formation process, various active particles such as ions, electrons, ultraviolet radiation, and excited state particles are generated. When active ions in an excited state interact with bacteria, viruses, and other cellular components, they interact with their cell walls, membranes, proteins, enzymes, as well as amino acids, nucleic acids, and other major components of the cell. By destroying the cellular components, they lyse and deform, ultimately leading to cell inactivation and achieving the effect of sterilization.

In natural ecosystems, forests and wetlands are important places for producing negative (oxygen) ions in the air. It has a regulating effect on air purification, urban microclimate, and other aspects, and its concentration level is one of the indicators for evaluating urban air quality.
